Lady Winwoods Maggot

One of Hampshire’s best loved live bands Lady Winwood’s Maggot popped into the Hope Fm studio for a bit of mayhem and to chat about their new album “The Rise Of Karaoke & The Death Of Rock ‘n’ Roll’.

The four members of the band Mark Baynes(Guitar/Vocals), Kevin Marshall(Drums/Vocals), Tony Soffe(Bass/Vocals), and Chris Hopgood (Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo) as you would expect injected some of their very own humour in to proceedings making for a very lively evening. The band talked about the time that they went up to London to audition for the X Factor and face the might of the judging panel who could not fault them, but they also felt they would not be able to change them in any way either so sadly it was a “no” from them. Luckily the band were relived of the pressure of earning millions of pounds in cash and can still be booked for a modest sum to play your local pub. They have a new website, and all the band’s gig details and releases can now be found at http://www.ladywinwoodsmaggot.co.uk/

The awesome foursome performed three exclusive live acoustic tracks, I was as usual on hand with my trusty camera to capture them…
