The monthly showcase for original music talent, Live & Unheard continues to go from strength to strength and returns with three more unsigned acts at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the arts, on Wednesday 1 May. Topping the bill are self-styled “dynamic hard sleaze-rock band” 27 Days whose debut album Live Fast Die Young has been followed by a new single “Dead Man Walking”. Having formed in Bournemouth in 2016, the band have toured the Midlands and North of England and played numerous festivals. Fronted by singer Jordan Watts, lead guitarist Steven Speck, bassist Jayke Turl and drummer Phil James complete the line-up.

Robert Lowe is a prolific writer of conceptual music who brings together artists from around the world for unique recording projects covering a range of genres. The thirty-minute showcase heíll present at Live & Unheard is made up from samples of his best work, woven into a storyline and accompanied by a visual landscape of images. The third slot this month features new band CREEKE. From Bournemouth, they are Rob Davies, Ryan Jaszek, Billy Jones and Huw Courtney-Tucker and their music ranges from grunge to blues and funk.

Opening the night Solcura re are an uncompromising, hard hitting four-piece band from Bournemouth. They blend the best of 90s alternative groove, guts and noise with a healthy dose of British heavy rock.
