Fearne “Songs On Postcards” Album Launch

Fearne

Centre Stage in Bournemouth is one of Fearne’s favourite venues, and they could think of no better place for their album launch party than here. Front man and songwriter Alex Beds often after writing a new song, pictures the band perform it at this very place. The ambience and atmosphere are just perfect for the style of music that the band create.

Following largely successful years so far, both LostAlone and Fearless Vampire Killers ventured across the coastline of the UK to showcase their critically acclaimed live shows to the seaside towns of Plymouth, Margate, Brighton and Bournemouth for a co-headline “Seaside Rendezvous Tour”. Whilst LostAlone have shared the same tour bill as the likes of 30 Seconds To Mars, My Chemical Romance and Evanescence in recent years following the release of two outstanding albums, Fearless Vampire Killers have built exponential hype following the release of their latest mini album “Exposition”.

This Devestated Fan

This Devastated Fan is an alternative rock band from the North of England, founded way back in the dark ages of 2005. The four piece boy band describe themselves as “musically fearless,” and having supported the likes of Toploader back in February, it’s clear that the quartet have used their daring attitude and eight years of existence productively. Their thirteen-track epic of an album “Plot and Debauchery” is a testimony to their years of experience.

Resin

“Embrace The Fall” is the debut album of Leicester-based grunge five-piece “Resin”, and given that the band were formed in 2006, it has certainly been a long time coming. Resin started out as a three-piece acoustic rock cover band, and only began composing their own songs after swelling to a five-man operation with the addition a full time bass player and drummer.

Rebellion Festival 2013

It’s August in Blackpool and that can only mean one thing: Rebellion! The annual pilgrimage to the Winter Gardens for four days of Punk Music! As a shamed Rebellion “virgin,” I waste no time in experiencing the event in all its glory. I arrive in good time to catch some early bands on the “graveyard shift”.

Rebellion Festival 2013

After catching my breath from two days of Punk Rock there is no time for resting on one’s laurels – there are bands to be reviewed! If the first two days are anything to go by we’re in for a treat. On a personal note I’m looking forward to Chron Gen, Cockney Rejects, and openers Science Made Us Robots to name three. But this review is not just about me, it is about an annual event that on the first two days evidence I will be frequenting on a regular basis. Read on and enjoy, I know I did!
