Onward Chariots

Once in a while a band come along that you have to double check the year to see if you have accidently been given an old album to review. I had to check that Onward Chariots were a modern band as their music has an extremely vintage (in a good way) feel to it.

Talking Heads, Southampton

Kvelertak

The first indication that this is not your usual mid-week gig is the two bloody great tour buses filling the car park and the piles of gear in the smoking area. A good turnout is usually 100 people, tonight The Heads is rammed, and I mean rammed.

Achromatic Attic

Where do you start with a name like that? I am not sure I could even say it without tripping over my tongue. Enough of my inability to talk or pronounce bands names.

CD/News: Franks Zappa Back Catalogue

The Man From Utopia/Baby Snakes/Jazz From Hell/The Lost Episodes

Frank Zappa

It bit of a diversion from our normal reviews, but one we were asked to do. The music of Frank Zappa is now back in the hands of the Zappa Family Trust. This is a good thing, as it means that a very extensive back catalogue of music was re-issued last year, meaning that a new generation will be able to discover the truly unique talent of the late Frank Zappa. Of course, that is very extensive back catalogue that will cost you lot in shelf space!
