Hope & The New Flower Generation

Sisters Hope and Louise Schachter have proved that music collaborations can crop up in the most unlikely of places. Such as during a meeting of a local Bournemouth poetry group “Poet’s Republic” in a coffee bar, with lots of cake and cappuccinos, they formed a band with the name “Hope & A New Flower Generation” openly admitting that it was a twist on the Prince bands name “Prince & The New Power Generation”.

The band does not have any real agenda or any set line up and is open for members to come and go as they please, leaving the band open for plenty of interesting collaboration with lots of different people in the future. Hope was formerly in local band The General Public and after their recent split wanted to put a group together to play a modern twist on the hippy flower power style of music.

The band made their debut live appearance in the Hope FM studio in Bournemouth and simply blew away listeners with some expertly put together songs with some amazing sweet harmonies coupled with Hope’s Supreme unrivalled keyboard skills. The exclusive videos of their performance can be seen below. The band also made their debut live performance in front of a crowd at the Community Festival on the Bournemouth University Campus at the Lansdowne. Despite missing one of their members and also all being a little nervous the band put on a great debut performance showing lots of promise for the future. Lots more shows are being planned, keep your eyes on their Facebook page for information.
