6 Minutes To Sunrise

Southern based 6 Minutes To Sunrise recently released their new single.

Cameron James (vocals, Guitar) had been playing in a band since he left school, whilst also working in music production, however a thyroid tumour put a temporary stop to music. The drive to succeed never diminished though. He finally met Chris Scott (Drums) and Paul Jackson (Bass) to make the group complete. The bands name was chosen to symbolise a rebirth and a new beginning. A Power pop/rock 3 Piece, with a strong ear for melody, mixed with big choruses, 6 Minutes to Sunrise have recently recorded 3 singles with London based Label, “The Animal Farm” which they hope will lead them to a wider nationwide audience. They have played with bands such as Howler, Sound of Guns and Violet Bones, as well as being kicked offstage by Marlow Regatta committee for being too loud! They are driven to succeed, as singer Cameron says: “We really can’t imagine doing anything else with our lives. Tumours didn’t stop me. It’s this or nothing.”

The band have just released their new single “Beautiful” which is available through iTunes. The band have recorded a fine professionally produced video to go with the song which can be seen below. The song is a passionately delivered slow burner which has elements of styles from the likes of Snow Patrol and Kings of Leon, though a 3 piece they have created a sound of much larger and fuller than a band of their size. The songs is very radio friendly and certainly after a few listens it will get in your head after a few listens. The band have a string of live dates coming up in the next few months and on just the strength of this single seem well worth checking out.
