Raiders are a four-piece, heavy rock band from South Wales, featuring former members of bands The Blackout and The Guns. They released their debut single, “Wasting Away” in early 2019, which soon followed by other tracks “Destructobot”, “Vnnvcvssvry Vs” and “Still Function”. Throughout 2019 the band have cultivated a reputation as a captivating live band with a string of highly energetic live shows, most notably supporting the mighty Funeral For A Friend in October 2019 at two of their three very special reunion shows in Cardiff University and London Shephard’s Bush Empire. The band have also just released a new performance video “Vnnvcvssvry Vs” and it is made up from a host of quality fan footage from various gigs last year. This includes videos shot at Dorset Festival “Teddy Rocks”, The Green Rooms in Pontypridd and Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. It displays their intense performances and the abilities of frontman Sean Smith formerly of The Blackout.
They were beginning to gain some momentum during the short time together and this was cut short due to the Covid19 pandemic lockdowns. The band are well placed to continue this with a plethora of future plans with performances at various gigs and festivals already booked for 2021.
