Revell Wins

Revell Wins are a two-piece South Coast-based Rock band who like to toy around with experimentation, pushing the varying boundaries of their influences which include Incubus, Biffy Clyro, Slipknot, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Mudvayne, Dream Theater, Tesseract and many more. David (Bass) and Luke (Drums) have been playing music since they were 15 years old and have recently released their 4 track EP called “Symmetry”, which was recorded and mixed at Echo Room Recordings with Jack Irving in Poole in Autumn 2017. Once finished the EP was sent away to be mastered in Berlin.

The band have taken the brave step of making the recordings instrumental which could lend them to be used as a soundtrack for Television or Movies. The title track is powerfully driven with some crushingly hard-hitting drums, coupled with some melodic strings. ‘Terminator’ has a futuristic feel with some dark and dramatic, as well as some famous words from former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger. I promise you “Face for Years” will have you looking at your watch in the opening seconds. Just listen and you will see why…. The tune features some incredibly heavily played bass riffage that will give some serious challenges to your speakers and headphones.

Revell Wins

The next tune gives us a rather macabre history lesson about a radical Russian politician called Pyotr Stolypin, who during the Revolution in the early 1900’s was said to have hung 3,000 revolutionaries and the term “Stolpin’s Necktie” was coined by a Duma politician describing the hangman’s noose. The band create here once again a dark atmospheric piece that has plenty of creative rock characteristics and represents that time in history well, taking your thoughts to those who must have suffered at the hands of this evil man. Revell Wins dare to be different and here they have created 4 tracks that provide some firm evidence that these guys have some considerable music making skills. Their investigations and manipulations of music can only be admired.
