Poole, Dorset Full line-up announced

Winters End Festival

Planet Rock unveil the full line-up for Planet Rock presents Winter’s End 2019.

The third annual weekender celebrating the finest up-and-coming and established rock acts in Britain takes place once again at Sandford Holiday Park in Poole, Dorset at the slightly later dates of Friday 8th to Sunday 10th March 2019.

On the back of a truly phenomenal 2018 which has seen them triumph at Download Festival, storm into the album chart at number 12 with their towering album ëFull Nelsoní, support their idols Status Quo and play their biggest shows of the career to date, the mighty Massive Wagons will headline the Friday night at Winterís End 2019. Topping the bill on the Saturday night is a man who needs very little introduction, the one, and only Ginger Wildheart. An incredible live performer, Ginger has toured relentlessly throughout 2018 as a solo artist and with The Wildhearts, and back in March released his intensely personal album “Ghost In The Tanglewood” to great critical acclaim.

Bringing the event to an emphatic close on the Sunday night are Glastonbury’s prodigal sons Reef. A chart-conquering tour-de-force in the nineties thanks to ubiquitous anthems like “Place Your Hands” and “Come Back Brighter”, back in May Reef released their first album in 18 years, “Revelation”, which marked them out as a force to be reckoned with once again. Joining Massive Wagons as special guests on the Friday are Brian Downey’s Alive & Dangerous who will be performing songs from Thin Lizzyís legendary live album ëLive and Dangerousí to mark its 40th anniversary.

Also playing on the Friday are former Jagged Edge, Skin and Red White & Blues guitarist Myke Gray, Stockportís Federal Charm who will be on searing form following Planet Rock presents tour with The Bad Flowers this month, and rock and roll firecrackers Screaming Eagles. Special guests on the Saturday are Kingdom Of Madness: Classic Magnum featuring ex-Magnum keyboard maestro Mark Stanway and drummer Mickey Barker. The group will be performing seminal Magnum songs from the years 1978 to 1994 including, of course, material from “Kingdom of Madness”.

The Saturday line-up also boasts Norfolk rockers Bad Touch who release their new album “Shake A Leg” this October before playing a massive 18-date tour, County Tyrone rock ní roll purists Blackwater Conspiracy and soulful blues rockers Xander and The Peace Pirates. Completing the Saturday bill are flamboyant glam rockers Hightown Parade, the immensely talented Kaleb McKane, progressive rock powerhouses Temples On Mars, riff-heavy hard rockers Dead Man’s Whiskey and high-energy classic rockers Safire.

Set to light up Winterís End as special guests on Sunday are The Kris Barras Band. Fronted by one of most exciting and talented blues rock guitarists on the circuit, the titular Kris Barras, the band are a truly a live force to be reckoned with serving up chugging bluesy riffs, epic guitar solos and gravelly vocals.
