Featuring DD Allen, Hengistbury and Tobias In Flight

With three more unsigned acts Live & Unheard, the monthly showcase for original music talent is back at Lighthouse; Poole’s Centre For The Arts, on Wednesday 2nd October at 8pm in the Sherling Studio.

DD Allen
The music of singer-songwriter DD Allen is spirited, anthemic, and instantly memorable; delivering all the truthful rawness of the early Rolling Stones, but with the powerhouse momentum of a young Bruce Springsteen tearing up Thunder Road. At its heart though is Allen’s pure, unadulterated voice and a roaring three-way guitar attack. It’s a thrilling contemporary sound with an honest rock íní roll signature. This year he has played several dates in Ireland and most recently the Netherlands, receiving great reviews.

Hengistbury
Formed in November 2017, Hengistbury launched their debut single ëWhat Folks Donít Knowí with features, interviews and live performances on Russell Hillís Country Music Show, Off the Record, The Music Scout, UK Country Music, Nexus music blog, Craving Country, folking.com, and Belles and Gals. They were featured in Lyric magazineís Hottest Country and Spotifyís Country Mix 2018 playlists and named Artist of the Week by Richer Unsigned and Q magazine. Creating a distinct sound, they have produced their debut album ‘Add Another Minute’ and their second single ëShooter on the Moundí.

Tobias In Flight
Taking his musical influences from the likes of Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, and Bon Iver, Bournemouth singer/songwriter Tobias In Flight plays original compositions that are at once weird and downbeat, as well as melodic and emotional. He has recently released his first album Morning Comes.
