Edenthorn

On October 16th North East rockers ‘Edenthorn’ return with their new single entitled ‘A Matter of Opinion’, the first of many new releases in the coming months. The band last played live at the Planet Rock’s ‘Winter’s End Festival’ at the end of February shortly before the world of live music was turned upside-down. Frontman Kyle explains “A Matter of Opinion is a song about sticking your middle finger up at those who try to tear you down. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how good you are within your field, someone is always going to have an opinion. But that’s all it is… an opinion.”

The tune is a powerful energetic shot of adrenaline-fuelled rock that pulsates its way with plenty of the traditional rudiments that make up a great song. There is nothing to dislike about it with its big melodic guitar backbone, with well-delivered clean-cut vocal coupled with infectious rhythms. Lyrically the song takes the tricky subject of how to deal with taking criticism. There are so many angles that this can come from the press, social media and also from the people who are closest to you. The song screams out to me that you should take on board what is said, but don’t let it stop you believing in what you are doing. These four musicians show plenty of creative potential, and with the circles that they have been performing in surely, it’s only a matter of time before they are climbing the ladder to bigger stages and more recognition.

Once live music has been given the go-ahead to once again continue; the band have plenty of performances arranged for 2021 including the SOS Festival, The Rock and Blues Custom Show, Wildfire Festival, Planet Rockstock and also band have been confirmed as the main support for Those Damn Crows at Nightrain, Bradford on in March.
