Hotly tipped 5-piece Indie band Wave Chase this month release a brand new single ‘Second Time’. The track was recorded partly at Brighton’s Electric Studios and partly at home. It was engineered by the band themselves with the help of their friend Henry Hallet, then mixed by Joe Reeves in London and mastered by Timothy Stollenwork at Stereophonic Mastering in the US. The track lyrically is a note to self, with the moral of the song being to tell yourself not to pursue a relationship that is not reciprocated and to move on. It is certainly sound advice, however sometimes easier said than done.

The band bring an eclectic mix of influences between them and has found themselves a real creative vein with this one. It features some wonderfully catchy instrumentation, combined effect- fed jangly guitars with some inventive toe-tapping rhythms. It’s a real radio-friendly track that has a wide range of appeal.
George’s significant vocal stands loud and proud over the top of the melodies, bringing everything together beautifully. The band over the last few years have built themselves up a fine local South Coast following and earned themselves supports slots with the likes of The Magic Gang, Lauran Hibbered and Dutch Criminal Record. The band will return to 60 Million Postcards in Bournemouth on 3rd November with a gig for promoters ‘We Broke Free’ supporting Blvck Violet
