Billy Liberator
Ia known for his energetic and impassioned acoustic performances Billy Liberator has become a welcome fixture on the live circuit in recent years, particularly in the southeast from where he hails. Two albums, “Companions” (2021) and “In Your Headspace In Your Dreams” (2023) have helped to galvanise his reputation as an authentic and inspired songwriter. Both albums were produced by Steve “Smiley” Barnard (Joe Strummer/Archive) and received glowing reviews of his material.

Billy draw’s inspiration from time spent in some of the remotest parts of the UK. It was in fact a five-week journey through the Highlands of Scotland that proved to be the catalyst for many of the recordings on “Companions” and “Headspace”. Billy says: “Five weeks is a long time to spend walking. I had a lot of opportunities to think and reflect on the places I’d seen, people I’d known, family, friends, hearth and home etc. Although the themes in the songs vary, it’s really the experience of walking down through the Highlands that underpins everything.

Recent support slots to the likes of Big Country, Gaz Brookfield, and Jay Aston (Gene Loves Jezebel) have given a wider audience the opportunity to witness the positively charged live show. The gig on January 17th promises to be another full throttle acoustic show featuring older singles “Future Days Now”, “Look What We Started” and “Tonight Tonight” as well some new songs from the forthcoming third album.

Paul Evans
After more than 30 years fronting live bands and touring mainly around the UK and Ireland, Paul turned his focus back to song writing and recording following his collaboration with Eddie MacDonald on Smalltown Glory’s debut EP, “The Tenement Commandments”. Since then, Paul has released several solo singles and EPs, which have become renowned for their eclectic, yet distinctive musical and vocal style, thought provoking lyrics and captivating melodies. While the talents of Ben Gordelier and Jacko Peake (Paul Weller band), and Jon Wills (Super db band), have contributed to Paul’s distinctive sound, this exclusive acoustic performance will feature some of Paul’s most recent releases including “Faith”, “All Outta Love” and his latest single, “Rain Down My Window Pane”.
