Locally renowned full time musician and performer Rich Baxter who can be found playing Dorset pubs and music venues regularly, has just this week been featured on BBC TV’s Dragon’s Den with his unique invention. He calls this unique product “Stomp It”, it is a fully playable drum kit at your feet featuring kick, snare, 3 toms, crash/kick cymbals with tambourine and cowbell options. It is a full drum kit that can be played at the same time as playing the guitar and singing, plus having the ability to stand up and be seen. Rich describes it, “Stomp It” is the most versatile and complete foot drum system giving you the freedom to perform the way you choose”.

On April 4th 2024, Rich had the opportunity to pitch “Stomp It” on BBC Dragon’s Den to the five multi-millionaire investors Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies and Steven Bartlett. Opening with a specially written song featuring all the Dragon’s within the lyrics, he demonstrated this effectively with a working prototype he uses at every gig. Though the Dragons did not invest, Peter Jones described Rich as a genius and Deborah Meaden got up and tried the product out for herself.

Rich Baxter

Rich who lives in Milton Keynes; after relocating from Dorset recently, was thrilled with the chance to pitch the product not only to the Dragons but to the millions of viewers watching on TV. He regularly takes trips back to Dorset where he performs solo and with his band The Hardcore Troubadours. As a former drummer Rich understands the importance of rhythm within music and his invention offers a whole new sound for solo singers, without the need of lugging a full drum kit around to each gig.
