News: The Lonely Surf Announce new single and debut album “Keep It Together”

Following the success of recent singles “12 Months Out” and “Happiness”, the band are set to release their debut album ‘Keep It Together’ on Friday 8th May 2026. The first single and title track, ‘Keep It Together’ is set for release in February alongside a haunting music video crafted by rising director Eddie Suthers. The highly anticipated album demonstrates the talent and depth of lead vocalist and songwriter, Dom Wright, who fluently blends catchy hooks with striking lyricism.

Recorded at The Ranch Production House, Southampton, with producer Daly George (Creeper/Boston Manor), ‘Keep It Together’ is a record that culminates the past 8 years of the band. Despite lead singer, Dom Wright, living in Dublin until May 2025, the record was written and recorded over the last 18 months. Alongside Wright’s emotive
song writing ability, lead guitarist Matt Gibbons has reached new heights with an array of captivating riffs and soaring lead lines scattered throughout the album.

The sharp rhythm section of Dan Mundy and George Fullerton provides the backbone throughout the record and allows space for Wright’s insightful lyricism and Gibbons’ vibrant melodies . “Keep It Together” is undoubtedly a debut album which encapsulates the blend of indie and punk rock that the band have mastered over the years. In this record, the south coast outfit have achieved the dynamic balance that many albums lack from the driving chorus of “Car Conversations”, the moody yet euphoric title track “Keep It Together” or the effervescent “Here It Goes”, to the charming emo twinkle of “Count Me Out” and the breezy “Looking Over The Bay”. Known for their high energy live shows with razor-sharp performances and singalong choruses, this album is sure to take The Lonely Surf to the next level.

Formed in 2017, The Lonely Surf have carved their place in the UK’s indie punk scene. They have Three EPs released to date, racking up over 850,000 streams on Spotify Featured on BBC Introducing, Kerrang! and Amazing Radio Festival appearances at BBC Introducing Live, Teddy Rocks, and Gold Coast Oceanfest Toured the UK with Ducking Punches
and Europe with The Deadnotes.
