News: Upton House Food and Music Festival Announced

12th-14th June

Beats and eats combine at Upton House Food & Music Festival creating a uniquely chilled party atmosphere to get the summer festival season underway with fantastic live music and diverse international street food. Already established as the south’s biggest and best food, drink and live music festival, this year’s event is ready to cook up a storm of good vibes with a few new surprises to boot.

And with launch offer ticket bargains already selling well, it’s a three day weekend tasty treat for the whole family that goes easy on the pocket!

New for this year is the Ibiza Classics Terrace where legendary DJs including Brandon Block, Paul Moss and Jon Langford are joined by local hero Mark Rush Palmer, with Vicky Sax, to keep the White Isle energy flowing all weekend. “It’s a real privilege to be back at Upton House where we know our crowd love the top tunes and some of the most amazing food and drink – it’s a guaranteed good time!” says festival organiser Serena Wren.

Family tickets are available now from just £22, with adults from £9 and children from £4 – under 5s go free. Upton House Food & Music Festival enjoys a deserved reputation as a family-friendly event and this year festival goers will find a new Kids Area with free children’s entertainment from some of the region’s most popular early years funsters including Jamie Jambo, Count Backwards and Mr Merlin with Okey Dokey Dragon, as well as the incredible bubble shows and Mad 4 Animals’ interactive shows.

“As ever, it’s all about the best value we can deliver and we have some astonishing main stage live acts lined up, as well as the Ibiza Classics Terrace, which is going to be out of this world,” adds Serena.

The live line up features top UK tributes to the likes of Queen, Elton John, Oasis, Green Day, Robbie Williams and Amy Winehouse; while the local acts include ever-popular rockers Chris Payn & the Parade, dynamic duo The Transitions, high energy cover specialists the Wonky Donkeys and instant party starters Mother Ukers.

For those ready to scoff and quaff, there’s a sensational international menu on offer including the meaty Big Bear Burgers, traditional Asian cuisine with a western twist from The Bao Beast, The Greekery’s simply delicious street food, and crepe van supreme, Crepe Salut.

To wash it down look out for Shanty, Poole’s very own seaside vodka distilled using five types of hand-foraged organic seaweed, craft beers and ciders from local breweries, and the festival’s famous Pimms & Prosecco bar. Cheers!
