Saddle Up for Country in The Square – A Free Event Coming to Poole This August
Poole, Dorset – Dust off your cowboy boots and get ready for an afternoon of live music, dancing, and family fun as Country in The Square arrives at Falkland Square, Poole, on Saturday 22 August, from 12noon to 3pm.
Taking place outside The Dolphin Shopping Centre, this brand-new free event will bring the spirit of Nashville to the heart of Poole with live entertainment, line dancing, and an exciting prize.
Headlining the event is Route 66, the highly acclaimed Dorset-based country, folk and Americana band. Often described as a local “supergroup”, Route 66 is renowned for its energetic performances, rich vocal harmonies, and upbeat party atmosphere that keeps audiences singing and dancing along.
Visitors can also join the line dancing fun led by DJ Dom Yates, who will be hosting a lively country dance party throughout the afternoon. Whether you’re a seasoned line dancer or trying it for the first time, everyone is welcome to take part.
Adding to the excitement, attendees will have the opportunity to enter a special competition for the chance to win a pair of Ariat cowboy boots, courtesy of event partners and sponsors.
Country in The Square is proudly sponsored by Poole BID, supporting local businesses and creating vibrant experiences in the town centre. The event is also supported by Lavender Moon & Onyx, Honky Tonk Collective, Ariat, and The Funky Sole Line Dance Club.
