With only a few days to go until Christmas there was a very jovial atmosphere in Champions. The stage was decorated with festival tinsel and fairy lights to mark the occasion of Bournemouth band ‘Death of an Artist’ Christmas party. With top quality support bands billed the night promised to be something special.

Kid’s Can’t Fly/Pump Action Radio/I Met Nature

Kid’s Can’t Fly have been making a few waves recently with their latest video ‘She Called Shotgun’ getting lots of airplay on music channels, their catchy rather addictive tunes get under your skin and after a few listens you are hooked. Bournemouth is date 12 on a 13 date tour of the UK which ends in their hometown of Southampton.

The Longest Day/Kasiuss/Oposium/David Giles

The Longest Day are possibly one of the best bands in Bournemouth right now and the locals are lucky enough to get to see them perform on a regular basis in and around the local area. The band’s debut album ‘A State of Indifference’ is a great indication of just what they are capable of. With the emotional lyrics and the searing melodic Muse-esque guitars, they seem to be turning a few heads within the music industry. So make sure you get the chance to see them live in these small venues while you have the chance and tonight is one of those chances as the band play a rather intimate gig at Bournemouth’s iBar.
