Arthur Walwin

In a world where change is often met with a bitter taste, Arthur Walwin keeps on smiling. Well known for his ability to create an infectious anthem, the former member of pop rock outfit Paige has established himself as an accomplished songwriter in recent years, gaining mainstream radio play from the likes of Fearne Cotton following the release of his debut EP. Practicing what he preaches, new single “Bad” follows the same guidelines as previous release “This Feels Like Summer!”, aiming to woo the listener with his radio friendly melodies and yet another infectious chorus.

If you know Arthur, you’ll know he’s not afraid to show his true colours, as the singer songwriter is proud to list influences such as Katy Perry and Kylie Minogue amongst bands like All Time Low to create his user friendly, yet vibrant sound. Instead of aiming to ‘sell out’ or fast track to a commercial selling point, Walwin is simply embracing the genre he loves; pop.

Arthur Walwin

If you’re too shy to admit you love a catchy hook, laden with lyrics of emotions, happiness and hopeless romance, then that’s your loss, because Arthur Walwin reminds us through this release that it’s no shame to simply listen to music that puts a smile on your face. Lyrically, the song also addresses the type of people that will try and label you a certain way, whilst playing the victim themselves, with the important message that you should not care what everyone thinks and just be yourself. Lay down your judgements, press play and enjoy yet another exciting offering from one of the most chipper songwriters you’ll hear this year.

“Bad” is available on iTunes from 16th October.
