Capulus

Bournemouth melodic rockers ‘Capulus’ have joined forces with local musician and bassist with ‘The Hoosiers’ Leighton Allen to deliver a brand new single entitled ‘All That I Am’. Leighton willingly agreed to help out on the track, as at the time the band’s former bassist Sean Bradford had left for pastures new. Since recording the track they have thankfully recruited Alex Incani which completes the all Sardinian rhythm section with drummer Giacomo Vacca. The band have been busy recording home shot footage during the lockdown and their good friend Joel Tucker pieced it all together for the video, which can be seen below. This track is the band’s last release before they return to the studio to start work on a brand new EP for delivery sometime in 2021.

Capulus

Over the course of last year Capulus has been entertaining audiences all around the South Coast, as well as some well-known venues in London. Their live show is exciting with plenty of creative elements to keep audiences engaged, they recently supported Midlanders ‘Gin Annie’ at the Madding Crowd in Bournemouth on Halloween. The performance showcased some of their new material and showed off some of their creative stagecraft. The band-like most others are completely frustrated at not being able to play live at the moment; however, as soon as things change the band have set their sights high with plenty of future ambitions.

The band have never failed to hold back their on their emotions and with this tune, they have upped their game by adding some welcome new additions to enhance this. The adding of piano and strings to their Classic Rock set-up has been a game-changer in the band’s creative abilities. They feed from a host of influences from across the Rock spectrum, carving out their own original sound. The song features a powerful set of lyrics which detail the poisonous effects of a troubled relationship. ‘All That I Am’ is out now and available here: https://capulus.bandcamp.com/track/all-that-i-am-feat-leighton-allen

Lyrics
I knew this was the end of everything,
You always used to roll your eyes right before you screamed,
That you needed time and space to think,
But this time you just stood there,
Told me it was time to walk away

Through everything that I’ve done wrong,
Every time I tried to push you down
You’d just get right back up again
Now I’m crawling on my knees
Now I’m crying out
If I go down, I’m gonna drag you down with me
I never meant to be a monster

Didn’t think there’d be an end to anything
I always used to hide a smile every time you screamed
Cus you were all of time and space to me
I lived inside the mind-set
That nothing I could do would make you leave

Through everything that I’ve done wrong,
Every time I tried to push you down
You’d just get right back up again
Now I’m crawling on my knees
Now I’m crying out
If I go down, I’m gonna drag you down with me

I never meant to be a Monster
I never meant to be a Monster to you
What does it take to be a Monster
Cus All that I am is just a Monster to you

Through everything that I’ve done wrong,
Every time I tried to push you down
You’d just get right back up again
Now I’m crawling on my knees
Now I’m crying out
If I go down, I’m gonna drag you down with me

I never meant to be a Monster
I never meant to be a Monster to you
What does it take to be a Monster
Cus All that I am is just a Monster to you

All that I am is just a Monster to you
