“Her” is the new single from former Bournemouth resident Hannah Elkins, who teamed up with producer Niko Battistini to release a heartbreak ballad nodding to female power-house vocalists such as Adele and Alicia Keys. The latest single takes a refreshingly different approach from her previous release this year – the soulfully defiant ‘Moving in the City’ – Elkins showcases a more gentle touch on ‘Her’. Beautifully understated in its arrangement of piano and vocals, it enables Elkins’ lyrics to shine through – ‘I wish the best for you, I wish it for her too, time to let go’’ – truly expressing how it feels to love someone and let them go. The track also features someone dear to Hannah on backing vocals….her Mum Sandie!!

Wholeheartedly independent artist Hannah who was originally from Dorset recently relocated to Berlin. Hannah Elkins was raised listening to her Mum’s soundtrack of female greats including: Eva Cassidy, Beverley Knight, Aretha and Minne Riperton. Moving to the present day, Elkins’ music is inspired by artists such as Jessie Ware and Lianne La Havas, all of which is present in her music and showcased by her effortlessly powerful and crystal clear vocals.
