South Coast artist “Nory-J” aka Jack Spooner releases his first single of 2023 titled “Nightlife”, this follows last year’s “Secrecy and I” which gained the artist over 13,000 streams and achieved more than 9000 new listeners. Jack’s artistry has found itself broadcast with BBC Radio Solent, Hit Radio and throughout Co-Op stores across the UK. His discography has amassed over 30,000 streams on Spotify and has made Nory BBC Radio Bristol’s ‘Live in Session’ artist in early July 2022, as well as placing him firmly on BBC Introducing across Great Britain. Combining musical elements from the depths of Shoegaze, Indie Pop and Jazz and influenced by Gus Dapperton; Easy Life and The 1975, Nory-J’s unique discography creates an energy and quintessentially British soundscape like no other.

“Nightlife” explores themes of rejecting commitment and love, despite feelings of loneliness deep down; basically being too exhausted to make a commitment to that special person. The Dream/Pop inspired track features some inspirational melodies that infect those who hear it. The single shows the creator in a reflective mood, musing over the future love interest. The tranquil soothing vocal is set over some atmospheric, electronic dreamy soundscapes with infectious rhythms that by design uplift. There is plenty of impressive creativity going on with Jack who continues to impress with his output, he certainly deserves some serious recognition and success this year.
