Here at Rock Regeneration and at Matt Black’s Hangover Hill Studio, we are both always on the lookout for new emerging talent, sometimes it crops up at an Open Mic Night and sometimes we discover it at the various band competitions throughout the year. The youthful “Reddle” was first discovered, when frontman Ralph Bishop won first place in 2022 Hangover Hill’s under-18’s showcase. Since then Matt has shown faith in him and his band by giving them a slot at April’s Live & Unheard at the Lighthouse and support slots with some top-named established bands.

The band recently put out their debut single called “In My Mind”, which is a really unique piece of work featuring a plethora of unique influences and sounds nothing like anything else out there. It is firstly a guitar lover’s track that features some sterling six-string skills that transcend the expectations of an artist so young. The three-piece provides some excellently creative, rhythmic patterns that give the track some positive momentum; which provides a great backdrop for Ralph’s guitar work. There is a wondrous Bluesy/Jazz infusion flourishing crescendo and plenty of other intricate joyous moments to enjoy. It’s difficult to see what direction the trio will take on future releases as there are so many different influential moments in this song. The gig at the Lighthouse in April is being prepared and these guys will show you what they are capable of, be there or miss out on the possible start of something quite special.
