After 2 years in the shadows, South Coast quartet “Who’s Amy?” return with a new single in time for the Spooky season called “Frank”. A Horror/Punk storm merging Post/Hardcore fury, Punk attitude and a Metal bite with some dark electronic energy. Taking influence from the cinematic majesty of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”, the band, along with their new drummer Paul Bird bring this infectious tune kicking and screaming to life.
Incorporating some initial out of the ordinary drum and bass style rhythms; along with some deep set spine-chilling basslines, fifties style electric guitar and Amy’s distinctive powerful vocal delivery, “Frank” is a striking piece of music with some well produced instrumentation that has impressively been all stitched together in what feels like one of this band’s best songs to date. The well-penned lyrics grab you by the throat and get injected playfully in your brain. I just love the guitar solo and the mid-song gang chants, with lots going on to enjoy and I’m sure it would be a great addition of any Halloween playlists with its raw dark energy.
