The Bear Cave, Bournemouth
The Anvil, Bournemouth Having only seen In The Hills once before, who were struggling through a set fraught with technical difficulties, I was pleased to get the chance to see them again so soon. As before, their heavy, sludge rock drew me in with its trance like rhythm infused with great riffs and break downs.
Sound Circus, Bournemouth Oh my. Chaplins, Cellar Bar, Boscombe The sun had been shining all day and perhaps everyone had been enjoying themselves so much that they lost track of time as things kicked off a little later than planned. As the Cellar Bar is one of my favourite places to watch live music I certainly didn’t mind the wait.
O2 Academy, Bournemouth I came away from tonight’s show wishing that I had grown up in the 70’s, owned a leather jacket and had a perm. Unfortunately, whilst the bands were amazing enough to blow my mind, they didn’t quite have magical powers, so I will just have to dream about those things.
