Adelante

After playing their first gig at the Anvil in Bournemouth supporting New Zealand’s Devilskin; Bournemouth five piece alternative rock band “Adelante” (Spanish for ahead!!) release their 2nd single “Bloom”, a follow-up to their impressive debut “Agoraphobia”. Since their first outing, the band have been on the road getting plenty of gig experience with a couple of shows at the Talking Heads in Southampton and a charity event at Mudeford Wood. The new tune is quite a change from the debut as the band forge their musical chemistry together to create their own original sound. The impressive cover art from the single of a heart, topped with a single rose was drawn by a young artist by the name of Kalila Cooper.

The new track starts with a single guitar intro before some percussion kicks in and then the vocals. Vocalist Cameron here seems to be pushing his own boundaries and despite struggling a little with the word “Sanity”, his passion and beliefs begin to shine. Ben and David really let loose with some impressive twin electric work. The track in places lacks the benefit of vocal harmonies and with five voices in the band, this could work well on future recordings. There is certainly more creative work to be done in the rehearsal room. The band seem to have plenty of the right ingredients; not necessarily in all the right places, though there is plenty of potential to create something special.
