In a contrast from the weather of Saturday, Sunday over Kings Park was full of grey skies, strong winds and heavy rain showers and despite this the BCF team are determined for things to carry on regardless. Thankfully both marquees are fully waterproof and all the electrical equipment is easily kept dry.

This year the Boscombe Community Fair comes of age and the festival celebrates it’s 18th birthday. The festival has had the same goal from the start and it is an event run by the people for the people. At just £10 for the weekend or £5 per day the festival gives great value for money and the chance for lots of local bands to perform on a larger stage.

Draw me Ugly have been a bit quiet of late since their triumphant performance at this years Grooves On The Green festival in Ashley Cross, tonight is their 1st outing since then. The band have been busy preparing and rehearsing for a trip into the studio to finally get some of their great original material recorded. Tonight we have a three band line up at the Anvil which also includes fellow Bournemouth bands “Sounds Like Adam” and “JC Jesus” a varied line up if ever I saw one. There should have been a third band “Shotaway” from Southampton, but sadly they pulled out at short notice.

Over the past four years or so, Pump Action Radio have slowly built their way into the public eye following two EP releases and countless support slots for virtually every touring band who has visited Bournemouth. After releasing title track “Cheating Perfection” as their lead single off the new EP, it was clear that this band have splashed their faces with cold water and gone out on a mission to create something to surpass their previous material.
