News: Big Country “The Journey Tour” 2013

Since 2003 Essex band InMe have made regular visits to Bournemouth performing at a number of venues building up a strong fan base making sure each time they visit there is a full crowd in front of them. Tonight at the Sound Circus it is no different an army of balmy InMe fans who have gathered at possibly their most intimate gig in Bournemouth to date.

CD: “Vegas Lights” by Hancox

Pip Hancox has put together a cracking album. The underlying sound and feel is one of psychobilly, which is no surprise coming from the frontman of Guana Batz. The clickety click of the drums, the sound of the bass, the vocals. It is all unmistakable. Not too mention the dark overtone of the album, something a little sinister.

If you’ve come across The Hobbit in the news recently, you’ll know that they have hit hard times following legal problems related to the release of the new Hobbit film; but nevertheless the Southampton based venue is continuing to maintain its superb reputation following support from the likes of Stephen Fry and Frank Turner.
