The Frequency

It is with a tinge of sadness and with a few nerves that I make my way to the Cellar Bar tonight. One of Rock Regeneration’s favourite band’s over the last 18 months has been The Frequency, and recently we announced that bass player Dan Hammond Smith was to leave the band. The thoughts are as to whether the band could cut it still while losing such a big part of their appeal.

Tom Clements

From the depths of Dorset, in a small rural town called Shaftsbury lives Tom Clements. Tom is not your usual music artist as he literally surrounds himself with music 7 days a week, he is not only a great acoustic solo performer, he is a Producer, Sound Engineer, Session Musician, and when he has got time plays in a band. When you see Tom perform, it is very clear for everyone to see the passion he has for what he does, he gives 100% in whatever he is doing.

Eat Defeat

Released today, 27th September, Yorkshire Punks Eat Defeat release their album “Challenges”. Kicking off with “Self Help…” which has an intro right out of the Blink 182 songbook and has a hard-hitting fast paced tempo. There’s elements of Sum41 also – I’m guessing a large influence here. More personal lyrics abound the entire song and theres a great middle 8 before the big singalong at the end.

Vlad are a Bournemouth 3 piece who celebrate & recreate the finer elements of early to mid 90’s Indie, and rather fine their music is too! On this EP, interestingly titled “The Cat Mixtape” we are treated to all that is good with a wide range of influences from the aforementioned genre.
