The Joiners, Southampton It’s Sunday night and the Joiners is less than half full for tonight’s openers The Lost Souls Club. Hailing from Southampton they open with the quite brilliant “Jesus”. UK headline dates announced for 2013 including intimate dates at Bournemouth’s Sound Circus & Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms and new album “Conduit” set for release 28th January, 2013.
On The Rocks, Bournemouth Day Two Featuring: The Sporadics 2 Sick Monkeys Crash Course Lineside It’s Saturday night and I find myself back at On The Rocks for my 2nd instalment of Punk for the weekend. Tonight its the turn of the “out of towners”.
Hampshire based blues/hard rock musician, composer, actor, all round nice guy, Russ Diapper has an EP ready for Halloween. This three track release features “Stuck Inside (a horror movie)”, “When You’re Not Alone”, and an instrumental of “Stuck Inside”.
Fahran are a five-piece, hard-rock band hailing from Derbyshire. The meaning of the name comes from the German “to drive/go”, which encapsulates their album perfectly, and the way these guys keep control of their work and creativity, and as ever when artists keep control over their work and own processes it shows.
Chaplin’s Cellar Bar, Boscombe Tonight in Chaplin’s Cellar Bar in Boscombe there is a radical change of direction from the usual indie and folk artists that you might usually expect to see here on a typical Thursday night, two very different sub genres of metal are about to go head to head.
The Brook, Souhampton Y&T bought their unique brand of classic rock back once again to the Brook on a rainy October evening. Opening the show were hard rock Merseyside outfit The Jokers.
