Inferno, Bournemouth It’s Saturday night, its still warm for the time of year and the Inferno is still largely empty when first act Liability take to the “stage”. This band start the evening off nicely with a mix of covers and originals.
Talking Heads, Southampton Firewind , Southampton’s own Dendera, open proceedings and they have progressed immeasurably since I last saw them. The Iron Maiden influence still looms large over their song writing but there is an originality to be found in their set. Good stuff.
Kings Park, Bournemouth The non profit festival has been running successfully for 17 years giving everybody in the local area that chance to kick back and enjoy some late autumn sunshine along with a host of great local bands, the incident caused by one very inconsiderate individual spoilt what was otherwise a perfect weekend. The […] ↓ Read the rest of this entry…
The Anvil, Bournemouth I seem to be in the habit of missing the first band on at the moment, so no comment on Greenhorn. Mr Kyps, Poole Featuring: Pronghorn/The Skimmity Hitchers/Pose In 1992 when grunge was what every self respecting alternative music fan was into, a group of friends who decided to go against the grain formed a band that the likes of Dorset and the world had never seen. 20 years ago these two members from Rock Regeneration […] ↓ Read the rest of this entry…
The Anvil, Bournemouth Damn, I missed the opening band Mother Corona. So when the Neon Tigers come on I was down the front for their 70’s tinged boogie fuzz rock! Last time I saw ’em they were wearing eyeliner and fancy stage clothes, nothing wrong with that, but I much prefer the jeans and grungy […] ↓ Read the rest of this entry…
Talking Heads, Southampton On a wet Weds night and with no car I nearly didn’t turn out to see Lock n Load at the Talking Heads. All I can say is I’m really glad a borrowed a car. This was Lock n Load’s first outing since the departure of guitarist Yannis Panou (now fronting Jailbait) […] ↓ Read the rest of this entry…
