Weymouth Pavillion

Bury Tomorrow

Unfortunately due to the typical nature of cars to breakdown when they’re needed, I was only able to catch the last three bands of the night…oh well, it’s not the end of the world (#badjoke). The concept of an extended lineup can sometimes exacerbate the atmosphere of a venue, meaning that the fluctuating crowd numbers can potentially limit the experience for the bands. Luckily, the passion of the pulsating Weymouth scene continues to surge brightly following an unbelievable performance from Skindred on Sunday.

The Jack Ratts

The Jack Rats don’t normally need a excuse for a party but with the release of the debut album “Sail The Deadly Seas” and with Christmas nearly upon us it was a must that they got out of the rehearsal studio to do some serious celebrating.

CD: “All Too Human” by Enos

Enos

Enos take their name from the chimpanzee that was blasted in to space to orbit the Earth as a precursor to John Glenn’s historic orbit flight that took place 3 months later. His mission lasted 3 hours, 20 minutes and 59 seconds and upon his return, the once surly and dour ape jumped for joy and ran around the deck of the recovery ship enthusiastically shaking the hands of his researchers”. Eyewitnesses say “it was like meeting a completely different chimp!”

Weymouth Pavillion

Skindred

You know a show is a sell out when you see the police worriedly scurrying around the venue as doors open to ensure the Pavilion isn’t set to burst. There’s good reason behind this, as the queues tail off into the distance of the seaside backdrop, everyone is here for one reason; Skindred. Championed by many as one of the best live bands on the planet, Hourglass Promotions have truly got hold of what could be one of the most explosive nights that Weymouth has ever seen.
