Galahad

As the keyboards of Salvation II – Judgement Day kick in, I get flashbacks of 80’s synth pop and I don’t know if it’s just me but Stuart Nicholson vocals sound like the Pet Shop Boyís Neil Tennant. Once I get that out of my mind I can relax and bask in the albums full glory.

Castellan

Right from its start Salisbury band Castellan’s debut record “Feeding Tube” grips its listener aggressively, a hold that it keeps up until its last moments. As vocalist Brook Laing shouts “Force it down, throw it up” on “Hunger Gospel” the music hits hard and does force its way into your mind, a place it won’t be leaving too soon either.

Sound Circus, Bournemouth

The Story So Far

So for my first visit to Sound Circus it had to be something special right? Well luckily my Sound Circus virginity has been taken by none other than California’s own The Story So Far. Known for their high energy shows fuelled by their outrageously committed fans, this band have recently been announced as tour support for New Found Glory and Less Than Jake this month, so a more intimate run of shows beforehand can’t do them any harm surely?

Atraxis Vibration

The first is local Bournemouth band Brothers Grimmer a now 3 piece band who have the claim that they are possibly the only local band that have their very own dancer. They band members each have all been characterised and have an alter ego names that they adopt when on stage.
