London based “Hat’s Off…” have been featured here a couple of times already, and now their new album “Invisible” is available touting their brand of indie-rock with hints of folk, and other styles.
In the darkest depths of Charminster in Bournemouth, at the Roadkill studios The Jack Ratts have been busy recording themselves an album.After countless numbers of high energy gigs the band wanted to get a permanent documentary of their work recorded for all to hear.
“This Is What We Are” is the debut LP from London Punk/Rock/Metallers Fuckshovel. With a name like Fuckshovel one knows they are out to grab your attention. On opener “Germs of Empire” they set out their stall early.
When Agatha’s Garden reformed a couple of years ago it was a breath of fresh air for some locally, that one of the local area’s leading lights of the genre should “dust off the cobwebs” and go again.
Emerging from the remnants of “A View From Nowhere” and “Farwest Leader” comes BISON spitting and snorting. Based in London and Southampton they describe themselves as “a riff fuelled hard rock band based out of London and Southampton. Bison is dirty, tight and heavy, but still tame enough to take home and meet the family”.
We are putting out stockings, wrapping pressies away from the eyes of prying kids, and being on the South Coast piling up the sandbags. But we are made of hearty stuff, and are therefore listening to a little Goth Rock to help bring in the cheer! (well I am)
Bursting out of Yorkshire come this hard working quintet. Mixing heavy guitar work, with pounding rhythms producing a heavy, yet melodic sound.
Hailing from nearby Alton in Hampshire this five piece are looking to kick some ass in 2013 with the release of EP Trepidation. Having cut their live circuit teeth touring 2012 with Violet, they are playing the Anvil in Bournemouth supporting Death Of An Artist on the 17th of January.
Newbury three piece Military Arcade are releasing their debut 11 track album “Revolution Is Imminent” on the February 21st 2013. After winning the award for “Best Live Band” in October 2012 at the Exposure Music Awards, they have been touted as a great new band to watch out for.
