Vienna Ditto

Vienna Ditto describe themselves as a “female-fronted electronic blues duo” and while this is certainly true, it doesn’t really come close to describing the beauty and oddity of their sound, a trippy and evocative combination of blues, slowed down rockabilly, electronica and country, which defies easy classification.

Hornet

What we have here is some good ole metal and hard rock coming out of the big smoke. Something from a past time, but something modern, and ass kicking!

Southampton O2 Guildhall

The Cult

Released in 1987 The Cult’s “Electric” album was a complete change in direction for the band after the Goth/Rock style of “Love” and “Dreamtime”. The band had discovered America and along with Ian Astbury’s accent the whole style changed at this point forward to a more mainstream style of hard rock.

EP: “Lucky Louise” by 9 Left Behind

9 Left Behind

As far as music goes there is nothing easier to listen to than Pop/Punk, the songs are catchy and get stuck in your head quite quickly. Experts at this are bands like Blink 182, New Found Glory and Bowling For Soup who seem to effortlessly create music for the masses just like that. Though the songs sound simple enough, it is anything but to create such a tune.

Dan Gordon

This EP from the Bournemouth based singer/songwriter is packed full of passion and undeniably catchy songs. Within the four tracks on this EP, Dan Gordon displays not only that he is a fantastic songwriter, with an ability to write easy to listen to melodies, but also that his vocals are far more interesting than the majority of artists in the charts today.
