Once again the relentless work that goes on at Mr. Kyps helped to secure a booking of certain importance, as the once album chart topping, “The Hoosiers” made their way to the small seaside town of Poole in an effort to prove to their south coast fan base that they are still capable of firing on all cylinders.

On December 22nd, Bournemouth based hard-rock quartet Bad Magic supported Dirty DC at Poole’s Mr Kyps. Now, roughly seven months on, they’re back in the same venue supporting the same band, but everything’s different and it’s obvious how far they’ve come and achieved in those months.

Wonky Donk Festival 2012

Last year a group of friends and musicians got together for a rural party in the grounds of an animal sanctuary in Lytchett Matravers near Poole, Dorset, the event was such a success this year has turned into a small festival called the Wonky Donk Festival. The name came from the fact that the animal sanctuary is home to some so called “Wonky Donkeys”, and some of the funds raised from the festival will go towards their up keep.

The Winchester Pub, Bournemouth

A brand new local team of promoters by the name of H.A.M made up of students from Bournemouth University have recently got together in bringing a new refreshing live music night to some of the areas best venues. The first night is a The Winchester Pub in Bournemouth with a mouth watering line up of bands that pull in a sizeable crowd even on a Wednesday night. The team have brought together Silver Suns, Wild Fire, Vlad and Mutant Vinyl. Sadly due to other commitments I only made it here for Vlad the headliners.
